my zx10r build thread

the day i brought her home . didnt stay like this for more than a few hours.

lowered

billet low pro oil pan

6 over extended , ran a 9.70 with it like this with no seat time

heres the pic from the first 9.70 pass

air shifter co2 bottle and new gearing , had to shorten the wheel base up some cause of the new gearing

new puig racing wind screen , track numbers and streetoutlawz decals

new full tusugki racing exhaust from japan

new exhaust and new tail light

so far i when i first got her she had a carbon windscreen , scorpin carbon fiber slip on exhaust and aftermarket signals.


first things first i put my front strap on her , and lowered it .

went to atco with no seat time at all and went a 10.4

bought a -1 front sprocket , rpm low profile oil pan, ek drag chain ,good ridge stainless steel break line, shinko soft drag tire , and swingarm extensions, and went 9.70 consistently at Cecil county drag way with no actual seat time .

next i went out and got a puig racing windscreen , five up rental ultra light sprocket and shortened the wheel base a bit and went 9.60's consistently at atco.

finally i put an mps air shifter on her , got some seat time and went consistent 9.40s the end of last year at our atco track rental day.

as of now i just put a full exhaust ,and a speedo healer on her over the winter so far.

im getting a drag seat this week .

and i plan on doing a powercommander (piggy back fuel tuner) ,bmc race air filter, longer chain so i can extend the wheel base to 7 over since it doesnt stay down at all at 4 over , and getting her dyno tuned.

i will also more than likely be getting some after market plastics and painting her some time this year also .

it really just depends on money at this point . Somewhere in the future she will be getting a power adder .

but the current set up should be good for 9.10 the way she sitts

i forgot to mention a head and cam package may be in the budget for this year , also with a 30 shot of spray

over all im 5000 into the bike alone , and prob another 3 g's into parts

damn noone has any comments ,you guys suck
