| Very interesting story behind this car. This is a 1986 fiero automatic SE notchback that was converted To a GT fastback by myself and my friend andrew in fall of 2008. I bought the car in summer of 2008 with high hopes and dreams for it but it was a put to a hault later on in the story. The car ran and drove fine for a good 5 months untill one day the EGR tube went and it was all down hill from there. In the end of my repair i ended up breaking off a spark plug in the far side of the engine ths making me sick of dealing with the project. A kid off of tristate tuners heard i had an automatic fiero GT and knew i wanted a stick shift so he got a hold of me. WE dicussed a trade for my current 87 GT and went ahead with the deal. The car needed a lot of work and i disclosed that to him and he said he would be able to handel it. Well in the end it was a little to much for him to take on and ended up selling it to a kid in west chester. He held onto it for a good 6 months and dident do much with it. He did fix the spark plug probalem along with a few other minor things. In the end he dident have the time to finish it so fall of 2009 it came back into my ownership. Specs on the car 1986 Fiero SE converted over to a GT 2.8l HOP V6 motor 3 speed automatic trans power options N/A Convenince options Rear window defroster, Sunroof. Trunk poper, Added options GT Fastback future upgrades 87-88 coupe front bumpers tan interior and flush mount headlights. Here is the car before the fastback conversion Here was the car after the fastback conversion Here is the car before it went to the next owner with all my mods on it Here is the car as she sits not. Not to much diffrent from when i sent her off shouldent take to long to fix I have since put the engine top end back together but i need to take the top plenum off again for a new gasket Fastys in the garage:D | |

| Well each day as i get deeper into fixing this engine it looks like its seized up. In which case an engine swap might be comming sonner than later. If it is seized The verdict for a new engine is going to either be
Caddy 4.9 V8 possabley twin turbo setup. Or 3.4 pushrod turbo V6 swap

| Well I let a load WD-40 sit in my clinders last night and tried to start it this morning and still no avail. So I went up to china freight priced out an engine hoist and when I returnd home I forgot I had to pay my insurance so no more engine hoist. A little pissed off I was working on the fiero again and stopped to think. The words "smarter than the Fiero Smarter than the Fiero smarter than the Fiero" were just racing through my mind and so I got a little peved and decided to show thoes pistions a piece of my mind with rubber mallet........ Geuss what Now for the rebuild what parts should i replace now that i have everything accessable. I was thinking water pump, mabey alternator, fuel injectors and al the gaskets. Also thanks to EMC208i I noticed that my exaust valves on my firewall side head are stuck open. How should I go about repairing that? | |

As for the manifolds they are in pretty good shape so im going to roll with them Problem with headers is anything exaust on a fiero is very expsnsive, Even reconditioned manifolds are around $350.

| Can you port the manifolds? How you looked into one of those do it yourself header kits from jegs or summit? If you can use a welder they say they are pretty easy to make. | |

| Better than getting rid of a perfectly good stripped down shell. Hell you could sell it to someone looking to make one. Put it up on a kitcar forum. Those guys would eat it up in a second. Its already stripped for them! | |
